The falling snow sparkles the vintage scene.
During this Christmas Season, I am on a mission to visit every person I know and wish them peace and joy. All of my neighbors are nestled in the comfort of their decorated homes some waiting for Santa to visit while others celebrate the warmth of their fire. They all invite me in for a hot cup of cocoa and marshmallows or a glass of wine to warm the soul.
This is the time of the year when everyone feels that special joy associated with the season and the arrival of the baby Jesus. Giving presents to friends and neighbors is a continuation of the gifts brought to the new child by the 3 wise men. The angels announced his coming not only to kings but to the shepherds in the fields.
Then an angel of the Lord stood before them and they were terrified, but the angel said to them ”Do not be afraid! For behold I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the city of David a savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord!”
Let us never forget this message delivered over 2000 years ago and let it continue to fill our hearts with love and the spirit not only during this season but every day.
