Thoughts While Creating

Do you like eating green beans?

Growing up we were always told how important it was to eat our vegetables as we were never allowed to throw away any food. Times were different and times were difficult as there were nights when there was not enough food.

​

We all grew up with our own issues (many not related to food) and some seem to glance off us while others seem to go deep into our psyche. The green beans for me represent a time of difficulties but one also filled with learning and growth. Many of my insights came from this time and the ability to eat my green beans (or accomplish my needed learning) helped me along the way.

So the next time your Mom tells you to eat your vegetables, smile to yourself and remember this story.
