Is this one piece of string?

Did you just put your finger on the image and try to trace the string to see if it is truly one piece? It probably does not make a difference one way or the other but it does raise an interesting point of what we see versus what we perceive.

Our eyes bring us the initial image and thought but then the real work begins as our mind attempts to make sense of it all. The built in processor of our brain (which works off 20 watts of power) immediately classifies, categorizes, matches, organizes, and even justifies within the blink of your eye.
